Fort Wayne Fusion News Release
This Friday, June 8th, in their first home game since school let out for the summer, the Fort Wayne Fusion will take on their Midwest Division rival the Quad City Steamwheelers. To recognize the hard work that students in the Fort Wayne area have put in this year, the Fusion will provide a complimentary ticket to the game to any student who presents a report card or progress report with an "A" on it, courtesy of the Fort Wayne Police Department. Complimentary tickets are available at the Memorial Coliseum box office any time this week.
The complimentary tickets are just the beginning of this week's events. The Fusion, in conjunction with the FWPD, strongly supports the local schools and will kickoff their joint in-school program for the fall semester. Plus, at halftime, the Fusion will feature the "Red vs. Blue Tug-of-War" between the Fort Wayne Police and Fire Departments. Don't miss what's sure to be a rousing battle between these two proud services!
After this Friday's game, Fusion General Manager Mike McCaffrey and QB Cody Hodges will be playing in the Debbie Lauer Benefit Golf Outing at Lakeside Golf Course on Sunday, June 10th. The event was organized by Tom Edwards and E&V Construction to benefit the family of Debbie Lauer, who is undergoing treatment for cancer. The event begins on Sunday morning with a 7:30am shotgun start, and anyone interested in participating or making a donation can contact E&V Construction president Tom Edwards at (260) 747-3941.
For more information, contact the Fusion office at (260) 484-4095 or visit www.fwfusion.com.
