Ontario, Calif. - Ontario Fury midfielder Jermaine Jones has been named to the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) Team of the Week for week 18 of the 2018-19 campaign. The ex-U.S. Men's National Team and FIFA World Cup star received the honor for his attacking heroics in the Fury's 12-2 rout of the visiting Turlock Express, in which he bagged four goals and one assist. Since arriving less than a month ago, Jones has taken the North American indoor game by storm, collecting a total of eight points from just three games thus far.

Jones' teammates Chris Toth and Juan Carlos Gonzalez were recognized as part of the Substitutes list. While netminder Toth allowed a single goal and posted a .923 saves percentage in just over 49 minutes played against Turlock, midfielder Gonzalez recorded two goals and three assists to match Jones' points total.

The 37-year-old Jones, who will be facing off with fellow former Stars and Stripes ace Landon Donovan and the San Diego Sockers this coming Thursday, is joined on the Team of the Week by goalkeeper Mark Saxby (Kansas City) defenders Dylan Hundelt (Harrisburg) and Stuart Grable (Milwaukee), and forwards Edgar Gonzalez (Monterrey) and Ian Bennett (Milwaukee).

The historic meeting between Jermaine Jones' Fury and Landon Donovan's Sockers is set to take place this coming Thursday, April 4. Tickets to all games at Citizens Business Bank Arena may be purchased by visiting www.ontariofury.com or by calling 909-457-0252.
