Ontario Fury News Release

Chicago, IL - The American Association of Soccer567 (AAS567) is excited to announce the return of the US Arena Soccer Open Cup after a 5 year absence from the sport of Arena Soccer.

The tournament was played for the first time in 2008 and last played in 2014 with the Chicago Mustangs winning the last edition of the event with an undefeated season that culminated with winning the PASL and Open Cup titles respectively.

"The Arena Soccer landscape has been missing a National Championship for everyone, since we won in 2014. I am excited to be part of bringing this event back to our sport." states Mustangs owner and Executive VP Armando Gamboa.

For the first time the US Arena Soccer Open Cup will have a women's division. The event will also be offering cash prize money for the champions and finalists for the first time in it's history.

The AAS567 has divided the US into eight regions: Northwest, Southwest, Rocky Mountains, South Central, Midwest, Great Lakes, Northeast and the Southeast.

Local qualifiers will begin as early as August 17th and run until September 29th. Regional games and events will be played in October with the Championships ending by November 10th.

"The Open Cup will be a great event to find talent in every corner of the US for all of our US National Teams player pools." states AAS567 National Teams General Manager Bernie Lilavois.
