Fury still looking to cash in on the road

Dallas Fury News Release

If you're a Willie Nelson fan you are probably familiar with his song "On the Road Again," where Willie sings, "Just can't wait to get on the road again." With two losses in the first two games of the five game road trip, Fury Coach Rodney Minggia is definitely not singing the same lyrics as old Willie. He's probably counting the days until this current trip is over and he can come back home to the friendly confines of Maryville College.

Last night the Springfield Spirit beat the Tennessee Fury 82-70 to give the Fury three losses in a row. However there is a bright side to things. If the Fury continues at this pace one would think they are due to win the next three games. The Fury seems to like doing things in three's this season. They opened up the season with three straight losses. Then they turned things around by winning three in a row and getting back to .500. Now with their current streak standing at three loses in a row one would think that it's time for the Fury to get back on the right track.

By no means will it be an easy task. The team heads to Chicago to play a matinee against the Blaze. The teams have split their two contests this season. Chicago has won the most recent match up 83-78 in Tennessee.

Chicago has won five games in a row and has the second most wins in the league with a record of 6-5. Tennessee however has dropped to second to last place with their current three game losing streak and now sits at 3-6.

Tomorrow's game against Chicago can be heard on www.sportsradionet.com at 3 p.m.

The Fury's next home game will be on March 16th against the Birmingham Power. Fans attending the game will receive a free donut courtesy of Krispy Kreme. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
