OTTAWA, ON - Fury FC can expect to have the support of a boisterous crowd behind them for their April 30 home opener at TD Place. Chief among them, the Fury Fanatics. Presented by Canadian Tire, the Fury Fanatics program will return for 2016 providing youth soccer players (aged 14 and under) across Ottawa-Gatineau with a free season ticket to catch Ottawa's pro club in action.

"This program was a resounding success in 2015 demonstrated by a tremendous growth in youth attendance," said Fury FC President John Pugh. "Hearing the cheers from the thousands of young fans at games last season made for a fantastic atmosphere and we can't wait to 'Feel the Fury' with them in attendance again this year."

In addition to the energy the Fury Fanatics bring to each match there are other experiences that they can be part of on match day including playing on the field, being player escorts, ball retrievers and a member of the guard of honour, to name a few.

"The West Ottawa Soccer Club (WOSC) is thrilled to be partnering again with the Ottawa Fury FC for their 2016/2017 season," said Sue Holland, Operations Manager. "The Fury Fanatics program is a great opportunity for our teams, players and parents to enjoy a fun and exciting day watching professional soccer in our city. WOSC is pleased to have been selected as the community club to be highlighted at the Fury FC home opener and we wish the Ottawa Fury FC a successful season."

There are 31 partnered clubs with more than 30,000 youth soccer players enrolled in the Fury Fanatics program that will see almost every youth player in the Eastern Ontario District Soccer Association (EODSA) attending Ottawa Fury FC matches for free.

The Fury Fanatics Program also provides a direct connection between the youth players and their Fury idols. Fury FC players were heavily involved in Community Club events and practices last season and have 950+ hours of community involvement slated for 2016.

"Perhaps the best feature of this program is that it provides these young players with a home club of their own to support and fantastic players to for them to look up to," added Pugh. "The Fury Fanatics program and our engaged efforts with these local clubs highlight our commitment to grassroots and youth soccer in our community."

Members of the Fury Fanatics program, presented by Canadian Tire, are easily identified at Fury FC home matches by the lanyards that they receive from their respective club - their pass to every Fury FC match.

While distribution of the lanyards has commenced, Fury Fanatics can attend every Spring Season match without a lanyard.
