FSL Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League today named the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period May 20 - May 26, 2013. The Player of the Week was Bradenton Marauders Infielder Alen Hanson. He played in six (6) games and had 11 hits in 25 plate appearances for a .440 batting average. His hits included three (3) triples and two (2) doubles. He had one (1) RBI, and scored five runs. He also had a stolen base. His OBP was .481 and his slugging average was .760. Alen is in his third year of professional baseball and he resides in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
The Pitcher of the Week is St. Lucie Mets Lefthander Angel Cuan. He started one (1) game, recorded a win, and posted a 0.00 ERA. In seven (7) innings pitched he allowed two (2) hits, no walks, and struck out 9 batters. Angel is in his fifth year of professional baseball and resides in Chirqui, Panama.
