Vermont Frost Heaves News Release

South Burlington, Vt.-The Vermont Frost Heaves, the season-ending No. 1 team in the American Basketball Association power rankings, will begin their drive for an ABA title at the Barre Municipal Auditorium on Sunday, March 18, at 4:05 p.m.

The Frost Heaves, one of eight first-round bye-holders, will host the winner of a first-round game between the Quebec City Kebekwa and Strong Island Sound, which "les Kebs" will host on Saturday night. In order to accommodate the scheduling of that first-round game, Vermont had to move back the date of its playoff opener.

Regular-season season-ticket holders will continue to enjoy an exclusive window on Tuesday to purchase for this first playoff game the same seats they occupied during the regular season. Orders must be placed through the Flynn Regional Box Office, either over the phone by calling 802-86-FLYNN, or by appearing in-person at the ticket window in the lobby of the Flynn Theatre at 153 Main Street in Burlington.

On Wednesday, all remaining seats will be released for sale to the general public, with an eight-ticket limit for any one customer.

On Thursday, from noon 'til 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Aud in Barre, the Frost Heaves will host a Fan Fest where fans can buy tickets for Sunday's game; pick up at a will-call table tickets already purchased; sign up for the team's Have-a-Ball Kids Camps, purchase Frost Heaves gear; enjoy refreshments; and mingle with Bump the Moose, who will make several appearances between 3 and 5 p.m.

The entire bracket for the ABA Playoffs will be posted on Tuesday on the league's Web site, abalive.com.
