
Frost Heaves rout Millrats 119-87

Barre, VT - In the first Subway Champlain Cup matchup between the Millrats and the Frost Heaves, Vermont defeated Manchester by a score of 119-87.
Vermont captured all 13 points available in the Subway Champlain Cup contest by winning all four quarters, the first half and the overall score. Vermont now leads the Subway Champlain Cup standings with a total of 49 points followed by Quebec with 44 and Manchester with 37.
In a night where Manchester could not buy a basket, the Frost Heaves seemingly could not miss. Manchester shot 14% from beyond the arc and 36% overall for the game. Vermont shot 38% from beyond the arc and 49% for the game. Vermont was led in scoring by Thomas Sanders with 20 points and 5 rebounds, John Williams with 17 points and Benson Callier with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Cayole also contributed 16 points and was 3-3 from beyond the arc.
Lincoln Glass led Manchester with 24 points followed by David Cooper with 14. Vermont outrebounded Manchester 64-38. The two teams will square off one week from tonight in a Champlain Cup rematch in Manchester. The game will be on the campus of Southern New Hampshire University. Vermont will then head to Quebec City for their final regular season game against the Kebs on Saturday, March 28.
