
Millrats Drop Champlain Cup Game on the Road

(March 19, 2009 Barre, VT): The Manchester Millrats dropped a non-league game in Vermont 119-87. The game is part of the ongoing Champlain Cup Series featuring Manchester, Vermont, and Quebec and does not count in the PBL standings.
With several key players nursing injuries, Manchester dressed only eight players along with practice reserves David Cooper and Chris Burns.
After a 29-28 first quarter Vermont lead, Manchester fell behind 56-46 at the half.
The Vermont lead swelled to more than thirty points in the fouth quarter.
Manchester was led by Lincoln Glass with 24 points, and reserve David Cooper with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Vermont's Thomas Sanders led six players in double figures with 20.
Manchester next travels to Halifax on Sunday to face the Rainmen for their final PBL league game.
