The Fort Worth Cats are hoping to reverse the curse of Friday the 13th when the Cats host the Edinburg Roadrunners in the 2005 Home Opener on Friday, May 13 at 7:05 p.m. Cats' fans should have no fear of the superstition due to the fact that they could win big bucks.
Through random ticket drawings the Cats will award one fan with the following:
$13,000 if the Cats score exactly 13 runs;
$1,300 if the Cats' pitchers strikeout exactly 13 batters;
$1,300 if Cats' hitters get exactly 13 hits;
$1,300 if the Cats' 13th batter of the game hits a home run.
Fans have the chance to cure their triskaidekaphobia. The Cats' home opener includes a big post-game fireworks show. For tickets fans can call 817-226-2287 or visit www.fwcats.com.
