BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Guard Scott Freymond completed his second triple-double in two weeks as the Bellingham Slam earned a decisive 139-96 victory over the Big Valley Shockwave in an American Basketball Association game Tuesday at Whatcom Pavilion.
Freymond, who recorded the Slam's first ever triple double on Jan. 18, earned his second with an 11 point, 11 rebound and 13 assist night.
The Slam were never really challenged in the game and only trailed once, at 9-8, 2:37 into the game. Bellingham maintained their dominance throughout the entire game, never trailing by fever than ten, 20, and 30 points after the first, second, and third quarters, respectively.
Freymond joined five Slam players who scored in double figures. Jacob Stevenson and ABA All-Star Mike Parker both challenged for the game's top scorer honors, netting 29 and 28 points, respectively.
Myrec Bowden led the Shockwave with 29 points. As a team, the Shockwave shot a paltry 32.4 percent for the game.
Bellingham and Big Valley play again in a re-match on Friday night, with a 7 p.m. tip-off set for Whatcom Pavilion.
