Fresno FC News Release

FRESNO - Fresno Football Club winger Jemal Johnson was selected to the USL's Team of the Week after a two-goal performance in the Foxes' 4-0 rout of Seattle Sounders 2 in Week 12.

Johnson, 33, fired a golazo from 30 yards at the 54th minute to give the Foxes a 3-0 lead, which was later chosen as the No. 9-top play on ESPN's SportCenter's Top 10 Plays for Saturday, June 2nd. He bagged his second goal of the game at the 84th minute, scoring on a volley to give him a team-best total of six goals this season that is also tied for fourth-most across the 33-team United Soccer League.

Johnson's first goal is also a nominee for the USL's Goal of the Week. Fans can vote here.

Johnson becomes the fourth Fox to be named to the USL Team of the Week, and the first since center back Ramon Martin Del Campo was chosen in Week 4. Alex Cooper earned the honor in Week 2 and Juan Pablo Caffa earned the honor in Week 3.
