RENO, Nev.-The Aces scored twice in the bottom of the ninth force extra innings, but a 10th-inning Fresno grand slam vaulted the Grizzlies to a 12-8 win over Reno Sunday afternoon at Aces Ballpark.

Trailing 8-6 and down to their final out with nobody aboard, the Aces strung together four-straight singles-capped by a two-run knock up the middle by Brandon Watson-to tie the score at 8-8. In the top half of the 10th, though, Fresno's Jake Wald hit a grand slam to left, putting the Grizzlies ahead for good.

Reno's Doug Slaten (0-1) surrendered the 10th-inning slam and was pinned with the loss. Starter Tony Barnette allowed six runs on seven hits over five innings pitched. Billy Spottiswood and Abe Woody each allowed a run out of the Aces bullpen.

Fresno's Gino Espineli (1-2) picked up the victory, despite allowing the two game-tying runs in the ninth.

At the plate for Reno, Trent Oeltjen finished 3-for5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Agustin Murillo saw his hitting streak climb to 11 games, and Ruben Gotay kicked-in two hits with an RBI and a run scored. Watson drove in three on the afternoon.

The series comes to a close on Monday night at Aces Ballpark. RHP Seth Etherton (3-1, 3.71 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while the Grizzlies are set to send RHP Matt Kinney (1-4, 7.20 ERA) to the hill. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. PT.
