Frenzy to participate in summer pro league

July 6, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Boston, MA. The ABA Cape Cod Frenzy professional basketball team announced that they would field a team in this summer's "Mass Arts" Premier Pro Exposure league in Boston. The league began play July 6th and concludes July 23rd. The games are played at Massachusetts College of Art & Design (www.massart.edu). The league is conducted by Premiere Sports LLC (www.premieresports.tripod.com/) and their director, Chad Faulkner. Faulkner, a former pro basketball player, played overseas in Sweden, Spain and Poland in addition to participating in the Philadelphia 76ers training camp in 1994. He now sees his vision to create a premier pro league in Beantown.

"This is a great opportunity for some of our players from last year, and some guys we're taking a look at, to play together in a competitive environment," stated Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy. "A lot of teams might not want to put their players in an exposure league, but that is part of our mission: to help our guys better themselves."

The Cape Cod Frenzy take center court tonight at 630pm in their first game. Suiting up for the Frenzy will be:

Eggie Mcrae, 6-0 point guard, UTEP
James Hall, 6-0 guard, UMass Boston
Matt Alosa, 6-3 point guard, UNH
Robert Mitchell, 6-3 guard, Mass College
Sly McIntosh, 6-4 guard, Northeastern
Korran Rivers, 6-6 guard forward, Merrimack
Julian King, 6-6 guard forward, Coppin State
Tejay Anderson, 6-6 guard forward Youngstown State
