Frenzy conclude four-game road trip with fourth straight loss

January 2, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Barre, Vermont: The Cape Cod Frenzy took another shot today at the 13-3 fourth ranked Vermont Frost Heaves on the final day of a four game road trip, but suffered a familiar result, losing 119-113 before another packed house.

The Frenzy looked sluggish in the first half falling behind by 16 points at 63-47 by intermission.

In the second half, Cape Cod responded and fought back to get within 112-108 with 1:32 left but Vermont effectively managed the clock and made free throws down the stretch to hold on.

For the second game in a row, the Frenzy were hindered by horrendous foul shooting - the symptoms of the grueling road travel. They missed thirty three free throws in the two games that they lost by a combined ten points.

The Frenzy were led by Richmond Pittman with 19 points and 15 rebounds, Raheim Lamb with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Rob Sanders with 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 emphatic blocks. Vermont's Melvin Creddle and Antonio Burks led the way with 20 points a piece.

The Frost Heaves remain in command of first place in the Blue North Conference at 14-3 while the Frenzy dropped to 5th with a record of 6-8.

Cape Cod will be looking to solve the Frost Heaves at home this Thursday night at 7:00 PM. The Frenzy need the help from their fans and would like to invite all kids under 12 to come for FREE for this special game at Bourne Middle School. Seating is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.
