Fowlkes Game Winning 3-Pointer Lifts Flame Over Flight, 100-99

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Tremaine Fowlkes' game winning 3-pointer with 30 seconds left lifted Florida past Huntsville 100-99 in NBDL action on Friday night in front of 1,975 fans at Germain Arena. Fowlkes, who was acquired by the Flame on Thursday, scored 10 points, dished out two assists, and added two steals in 18 minutes of limited play.

Damone Brown paced the way for the Flight scoring a game-high 24 points, while Rodney Bias scored 11 points and grabbed a game-high 18 rebounds.

Kevin Braswell recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 assists coming off the bench for Florida. Tim Washington scored a career-high 12 points and added 5 rebounds for the Flame.

Bernard King recorded a double-double for Huntsville, scoring 18 points and dishing out 14 assists in the loss. Earl Barron added 19 points coming off the bench for Huntsville.

Huntsville lost their leading scoring in Joe Shipp (who ranks third in the league in scoring average), who went down with an injury early in the first quarter. His status for Saturday's game is questionable.

Florida improves to 3-10 on the season while Huntsville falls to 9-8. The two teams will face each other again tomorrow at Germain Arena. The tip is set for 7:30 p.m.
