Tri-City Storm News Release

Cedar Rapids, Ia. - Ronnie Attard, Chase Pilawski and Logan Drevtich helped the Tri-City Storm rattle off three unanswered goals in the second period to topple the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, 4-1, Friday at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.

After falling behind by a goal, Attard capitalized on the power-play for his third goal of the season five minutes into the second. Pilawski had two points in the second period, his first multi-point game. Drevitch scored a goal for the second straight game. Wyllum Deveaux notched a pair of assists in the second frame. Tri-City scored three times in a span of 11:28.

Adam Goodsir scored an empty-net goal with 100 seconds left to ice the contest.

Three Storm players had multi-point games: Pilawski (1g, 1a), Goodsir (1g, 1a) and Deveaux (2a).

Opposing his former team, Harrison Feeney earned his first USHL win with 27 saves. Feeney denied 12 shots in the third. RoughRiders goalie Drew DeRidder blocked 15 Storm shots.

The Storm penalty kill killed off a season-high seven chances (7-for-7) and stifled the RoughRiders four times in the third period. Tri-City was 1-for-2 on the power play.

Box Score

Feeney made his first ten saves before yielding to Robert Arrak at 2:36 of the second.

Tri-City's offense kicked into gear three minutes later. Cutting backdoor, Attard received a pass from Blais Richartz and threw it from the left post. After falling to score over a 34-game stretch earlier this season, Attard has two goals in his last four contests. Richartz has assists in consecutive games. Pilawski garned the secondary helper.

The run continued on a seeing-eye shot through traffic from Pilawski with 11:48 remaining in the second. He scored his first Storm goal with a wrist shot from the center point, assisted by Deveaux and Goodsir.

Drevtich capped the strong second with a snipe from the right post. Deveaux cradled the puck across the right blueline on the backhand and lifted it to Drevitch. The forward quickly snapped it to the top shelf for his 13th of the season.
