
Four Thorns FC Matches to Feature as Part of NWSL Television Agreement with ESPN

PORTLAND, Ore. - The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and ESPN announced today that 14 league matches during the 2019 season will be broadcast across ESPNEWS and ESPN2. Three home Portland Thorns FC matches at Providence Park will feature broadcasts on ESPNEWS, while Portland's road match against Reign FC on Sept. 29 will be broadcast on ESPN2 with a new kickoff time of 11 a.m. (Pacific).
In total, eight NWSL matches will air on ESPNEWS and six, including the two semifinals and the NWSL Championship, will air on ESPN2.
Opening the slate of national television matches, Portland squares off against the Orlando Pride on July 14 at 12 noon (Pacific) at Providence Park. Thorns FC play host to the North Carolina Courage on Aug. 11; kickoff is set for 12 noon (Pacific), while Portland takes on the Chicago Red Stars on Aug. 25 at 12 noon (Pacific). All three matches will be featured on ESPNEWS.
Coming off a 2-1 win on the road against the Houston Dash, Thorns FC return home to play host to Reign FC at Providence Park on Friday, July 5. Beginning at 8 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be broadcast on Yahoo! Sports.
