Four Storm Players Named to Central Scouting Final Rankings

Kearney, NE. - Four Tri-City Storm players and two affiliate list player have been named to NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings for the 2020 NHL Draft in Montreal, Quebec. Mitchell Miller, Colby Ambrosio, Nick Capone, and Kyle Aucoin are ranked in the Top 160 of Central Scouting's final ranking of North American Skaters. 2019 USHL Phase II Draft selections Trey Taylor and Cole O'Hara, who both spent the 2019-2020 season on the Storm's affiliate list, have also been listed in the final rankings. Last year, Tri-City led the world with five players selected at the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver, British Columbia. No junior hockey organization that participates in a complete league schedule produced more NHL Draft picks last year than the Tri-City Storm.

Mitchell Miller, 18, of Sylvania, Ohio is the Storm's highest ranked player on the final edition of NHL Central Scouting's draft rankings. The service lists Miller as the 49th in its list of North American skaters. Miller led the Storm in defensive scoring this season with eight goals and twenty-five assists. He received the USHL's Defenseman of the Week award on four separate occasions in the 2019-2020 season, more than any other player in the league. Miller previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at the University of North Dakota.

Colby Ambrosio, 17, of Welland, Ontario is ranked 71st among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings. Ambrosio finished the 2019-2020 season as the Storm's leading scorer with twenty-six goals and twenty-four assists. He finished the season with thirteen power play goals, the second most of any player in the league. Ambrosio's twenty-four power play points were tied for the most among USHL players this season. Ambrosio also recorded a point in ten consecutive games from December 27th to January 18th. Ambrosio previously announced a commitment to Boston College.

Nick Capone, 18, of East Haven, Connecticut appears on the list as the 126th ranked skater prospect from North America. Capone notched seven goals and recorded twelve assists in thirty-four games played this season. Capone, along with teammate Mitchell Miller, represented the Storm in the 2020 BioSteel All-American Game at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, MI on January 20th. He recorded a multi-goal game in Tri-City's 5-0 shutout win over the Madison Capitols on February 16th. Capone notched two goals in the victory. Capone previously announced a commitment to play college hockey for UConn.

Kyle Aucoin, 17, of Hinsdale, Illinois appeared in forty-eight games during the 2019-2020 season for Tri-City. Aucoin scored two goals and recorded eleven assists. Aucoin led Storm rookie defenseman in goals, assists, and points defenseman. He notched his first career USHL goal on October 10th in Tri-City's 4-1 win over the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Viaero Center. Aucoin previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at Harvard.

Alumni of the Tri-City Storm organization to be listed in this year's final rankings by NHL Central Scouting were Ruben Rafkin and Ole Bjorgvik Holm. The 2020 NHL Draft is scheduled to take place June 26th-27th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
