
Four High School Ironmen Still Going For CIF Titles

SAN DIEGO â Tonight is the semi-finals for three divisions of San Diego high school football. In those six games, four players selected as sandiegoriptide.com Ironman of the Week will be battling for a spot in next week's CIF title games played at Qualcomm Stadium.
Among the games is a Division III showdown between two of the county's top defensive units when Madison (10-1) and Marian Catholic (11-0) clash at Serra High School (5156 Santo Rd., San Diego 92124). The game showcases two Ironman award winners in Madison OL/DL Marcos Molina (Week 3 Ironman) and Marian TE/LB Mickey Pimental (Week 11 Ironman).
The winner will take on the winner of the Mission Bay (9-2)-St. Augustine (8-2-1) game. Back in Week 6 of the season, Mission Bay FB/SS Andre Wilson was named an Ironman of the Week for an outstanding five-touchdown performance, where he scored on offense, defense and special teams. Last season, Mission Bay won the Division III title with a win over Marian.
In other action, Week 2 Ironman WR/DB DeMarco Sampson and his Castle Park (9-2) teammates take on Oceanside (9-2) at Mira Mesa High School (10510 Reagan Rd., San Diego 92126).
