Four 66ers Earn All-NBA D-League Honors

TULSA, Okla., April 26, 2013 - The NBA Development League honored four Tulsa 66ers players by naming Daniel Orton, Rasual Butler, Dominique Sutton and Tony Taylor to various All-NBA D-League teams as voted on by the coaches, the league announced Friday.

Oklahoma City Thunder assignee Orton and Butler were named to the All-NBA D-League Honorable Mention Team while Sutton was named to the All-Rookie Second Team and Taylor earned a spot on the All-Rookie Third Team.

The teams were selected by the NBA D-League's 16 head coaches.

Orton and Butler are the 15th and 16th Tulsa players, respectively, to be named to an All-NBA D-League team since the franchise was founded in 2005.

Orton, who qualified for the honor by playing over 25 games in the D-League, averaged 12.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 2.2 blocks and 28.3 minutes in 29 games (all starts). The Thunder assignee posted eight double-doubles and scored in double figures 17 times.

Butler, who was named the D-League Impact Player of the Year last week, finished the regular season averaging 17.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 blocks and 32.6 minutes in 31 games (23 starts). Butler scored in double figures 27 times, including 11 20+ point performances and two outings in of 30 or more points.

Sutton averaged 10.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 1.5 assists and 27.8 minutes in 48 games (29 starts). The rookie out of North Carolina Central led Tulsa with 10 double-doubles and scored 10 or more points in 25 games. In January, Sutton won the NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest at the 2013 D-League Showcase in Reno, Nev.

Taylor averaged 7.0 points, 3.2 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 22.5 minutes in 50 games (24 starts). A rookie from George Washington, Taylor was the only 66er to see action in all 50 regular-season games.
