
Forward María Sanchez Called Up to Mexico for Copa Angelina

Forward María Sanchez will join the Mexico Women's National Team following Houston's match against the Washington Spirit on August 27. She will then meet up with the Mexico national team to prepare for a series of friendlies, including Copa Angelina featuring Angel City FC.
Copa Angelina is a new partnership bringing together the Mexican Football Federation and NWSL club Angel City FC. The winning team will be crowned with the Copa Angelina trophy.
Mexico will first face New Zealand in a closed door friendly on Saturday, September 3. They will then face off against Angel City FC in Copa Angelina on Monday, September 5 at the Banc of California stadium in Los Angeles, California. The match will stream on TelevisaUnivision networks through the Vix app.
The Houston Dash will host the Washington Spirit on Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. CDT. The match will be streamed on Paramount+ and Twitch for international viewers. Tickets available here.
