Forward Madison to Host "Stanley" of "The Office" During August 28 Game

Leslie David Baker, better known as "Stanley" from the television show "The Office," will make a special appearance at Forward Madison FC's home game on Wednesday, Aug. 28, the club announced Monday. Baker, who gained cult popularity through his role, will be available to meet-and-greet with fans before the game.

"The Office," which is reportedly the most popular show on Netflix, ran for nine seasons on NBC and received critical acclaim. Baker's character, Stanley Hudson, serves as a deadpan counterpart to his overly-eccentric co-workers.

Forward fans will be able to buy the "Office Pack" for the game, which includes a match ticket, a soft pretzel, a Forward Madison-themed crossword puzzle and a Forward Madison-themed "Office" shirt.

Forward Madison currently sits in sixth place in its inaugural USL League One season, two points out of the playoff spots with seven matches to play. The Flamingos have posted an average attendance of 4,237 at Breese Stevens Field, which leads the 10-team league.
