Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release
Goldeyes manager Rick Forney has begun to finalize his opening day roster by trading one player and releasing three others.
Reliever Kipp Pridgeon was dealt today to the San Angelo Colts of the United League for future considerations, while utility man Eunique Johnson and pitchers Geoff Freeborn and Beau Richardson were let go.
The moves reduce Winnipeg's training camp roster to 24 players. Forney must submit his opening day roster, with a maximum of 22 players, to the Northern League office by 1:00 on Wednesday afternoon.
The Goldeyes play their final pre-season game today at 11:30 a.m. against Fargo-Moorhead. They open the regular season on Friday by hosting Joliet. Game time is 7 p.m. and great seats are still available at all Ticketmaster locations.
