Former Vipers Stephens and Minucci Honored by AF2

Huntsville, AL- Former Viper defensive linemen Wes Stephens and James Manucci have been named to the af2's team of All-Time defensive linemen. Stephens was named as the ninth best defensive lineman in af2 history, and Minucci was named the sixth best according to a group of af2 head coaches past and present, members of the media, and fans across the country.

Stephens played for the Vipers in 2002 and 2003, and his career total of 15.5 sacks are third all-time for the Vipers. The Middle Tennessee State University product is also tied for second all-time with his nine forced fumbles, and was second in all of af2 with his 11.5 sacks in 2003. Stephens finished his Vipers career with 30.5 tackles and five tackles for loss. He was also named to the af2 American Conference first team in 2003, and was also named the af2's lineman of the year that same season.

Minucci played for the Vipers in 2004 and finished that season with 16.5 tackes, 3.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and 15 quarterback hits, and was named to the af2 American Conference first team. The University of Delaware product, anchored a Viper defense that only allowed 40.1points per game, and helped lead the Vipers to a 12-4 regular season record, and an appearance in the af2 playoffs.
