
Former University Of Pacific Standout Shinn-Hardcastle Signs With Thunder

OAKBROOK TERRACE, ILL., OCTOBER 30, 2002_ The Chicago Thunder, a,member of United States Professional Volleyball (USPV), today announced the signing of former University of the Pacific outside hitter Danielle Shinn-Hardcastle.
Shinn-Hardcastle (Arnold, Calif.), a Junior Olympic All-American, was a three-time All-Big West Conference selection. In 2000, she averaged 4.4 kills, 3.8 digs and 0.8 blocks per game for the Tigers. Shinn-Hardcastle left Pacific with 1,245 career kills.
This past summer, Shinn-Hardcastle competed on the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) beach volleyball tour, appearing in five tour events. She has also played professionally in Puerto Rico.
The Thunder opens the 2003 season January 10 in Rochester, Minn. against defending USPV champion Minnesota in a rematch of the 2002 USPV Championship Series. Chicago's home opener is Sunday, January 12 against St. Louis at Saint Xavier University's Shannon Center. The Thunder will play all of its home matches at the Shannon Center.
