
Former Stampede Star Magnowski Signs With Vancouver Canucks Affilliate

Former Stampede star Mark Magnowski has signed a professional contract with the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL. The Salmon Kings are an affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks.
Magnowski spent the 2005-06 season with the Stampede, finishing second in scoring with 51 points (22g, 29a) in 60 games. He served as a captain for the Herd and was a key part in helping lead the Stampede capture their first ever Anderson Cup championship and trip to the Clark Cup Finals.
The Winnipeg, Manitoba native joins the Salmon Kings after finishing 30 games with Princeton University this season, scoring 27 points (10g, 17a) and registering eight penalty minutes. Magnowski also played the previous three seasons with the Tigers where he amassed 60 points (29g, 31a) in 99 games while serving 48 minutes in penalties. Magnowski helped lead the Tigers to two NCAA Tournament appearances in his four seasons at Princeton.
The Salmon Kings begin a six-game road trip tonight (Wednesday) in Stockton, before traveling to Bakersfield for two games and Idaho for three.
