Former NY Knicks Star Appearance Kicks off New Exhibition

Little Falls, NJ -- With the World Series come and gone, the Yogi Berra Museum is now engaging sports fans with public programming and a new exhibition devoted to basketball.

On Tuesday, November 13, 6:30 - 9pm, Basketball Hall-of-Famer Bernard King will appear in conversation with the Pulitzer-prize winning sports journalist Ira Berkow. Attendees enjoy a cocktail reception and preview of the Museum's new exhibition DUNK! The Science of BasketballTM.Tickets are $125 and include an autographed copy of King's 2017 book, Game Face: A Lifetime of Hard-Earned Lessons On and Off the Basketball Court. On Thursday, November 15, visitors can experience a NEW EXHIBITION Opening: DUNK! The Science of BasketballTM. The new hoops-based installation explores the intersection of physics and athletics in concepts such as hang time, jump shots and wingspan through hands-on, immersive activities for all ages.

"With more and more young people following basketball, DUNK! will be a great addition to the experience here," says Eve Schaenen, the Museum's Executive Director. "The exhibition is fun for everyone, and it will allow us to introduce a brand new education program to visiting school groups that brings science alive in an interactive and engaging way."

DUNK! is on loan from Science & Arts Engagement New York.
