
Former forward T.J. Oshie named to USA Olympic Hockey Camp

Former Stampede forward T.J. Oshie is one of 34 players who have been invited to the USA Hockey Men's Olympic Orientation Camp. The camp runs from August 17-19 at the Seven Bridges Ice Arena in Woodridge, IL. He will be evaluated on-ice and have a chance to be invited to play for the 2010 U.S. Men's Ice Hockey Team at the upcoming Winter Olympics in Vancouver, February 12-28.
Oshie, who spent part of the 2004-05 season with the Stampede, played in 57 games with the Blues during the 2008-09 season. He registered 14 goals and 25 assists and finished with a plus-16 rating. He was selected as the NHL Rookie of the Month for March, recording 13 points in 14 games. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 10 vs. Nashville. Oshie was selected by the Blues as a first round choice, 24th overall, at the 2005 NHL Draft.
Nineteen forwards, 12 defensemen and three goalies made the first cut. Eighteen were first-round draft picks and 11 formerly participated in USA Hockey's National Team Development Program.
