Former CSU Standout QB Justin Holland Signs with Colorado Ice

Fort Collins, CO- The Colorado Ice Indoor Football team announced on Wednesday, January 21st that former Colorado State University (CSU) star QB and Miami Dolphins rookie Justin Holland has signed with the Colorado Ice for the 2009 season.

The 6'3" 213 lb QB had an outstanding football career with CSU, finishing his 2005 senior season throwing for 3,185 yards and 23 touchdowns, while boasting a completion rate of over 63 percent. Holland's 143.44 passing efficiency rating was sixth in the nation amongst all 2006 NFL draft-eligible quarterbacks, garnering him an invite to play in the Las Vegas All-Star Classic. Holland completed his CSU career holding the 5th highest passing yards total in CSU history and the Poinsettia Bowl records for Most Passing Yards, Most Completions, and Most Touchdown Passes. In 2006 Holland attended training camp with the Miami Dolphins of the NFL, before going on to play for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Holland grew up in Lakewood, CO and attended Bear Creek High School where he set the Colorado State High School record for passing yards and was a Parade All-American and Gatorade Player of the Year.
