Allen Americans News Release
Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League announced the signing of forward Jarret Lukin on Tuesday, making him the second player to sign with Allen this off-season. Lukin joins Captain Jason Deitsch for the 2012-2013 campaign. Deitsch was announced at an Americans press conference on June 4th in Allen.
Jarret Lukin was one of the first players signed by the Allen Americans during the inaugural season in 2009-2010. The native of Fort McMurray, AB, played in 61 games for the Americans last season, scoring 19 goals and adding 24 assists for 43 points.
"I'm super excited to be coming back to Allen," said Lukin. "I love the steps the organization has made to win a championship. I love Allen and it's a privilege to play here. I can't wait to get back and see everyone and get this thing rolling."
Lukin has played the majority of his professional career with the Americans, playing in 158 games over three seasons. Prior to Allen, Lukin played two years with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL from 2006-2008, and one season in Dayton with the Bombers in 2008-2009, where Lukin enjoyed his best season as a pro netting 49 points.
"He's a hardworking consistent scorer," said Allen Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson when speaking of Jarret Lukin.
The Americans will open their 4th season in the CHL this October. The 2012-2013 schedule is expected to be released sometime next month.
