Forgione Returns to Pioneers

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that Rocco Forgione was reassigned to the team's 2005 roster by the af2.
"Its great to have Rocco back with us this season. He was sough after by a lot of teams," said Pioneers Head Coach Les Moss. "He made some huge plays last year at key points in games which helped us win those games. The sky is the limit for him, I expect him to be one of the top two way players in the league this season."
Forgione has been with the Pioneers since 2003. Last season he played in 16 games with 50 tackles (19 unassisted) and four interceptions for 48 yards. Offensively, he had 43 receptions for 522 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had one rushing touchdown.
In 2003, Forgione played in six games for the Pioneers. In those games, he had 14 receptions for 142 yards and three touchdowns. On defense, he had nine tackles (two unassisted).
Forgione played collegiate football at Bloomsburg University. While playing for the Huskies, he was selected to the All-PSAC Conference 1st team and All-American 2nd team.
