Albany, N.Y., Mar. 10, 2005 – The Albany Conquest of arenafootball2 announced the assignment of three returnees today. Travis Coleman (DS), Thomas Herron (OL/DL), and Vinny Cirricione (K) will all be entering their second af2 seasons with the Conquest.

"It's important that we have familiar faces on the field this season," said Albany Conquest Head Coach Richard Davis. "This group has made a big impact for the Conquest on the field and in the community. They add a tremendous amount of fire power to our 2005 roster."

Coleman, 6-0, 185-pounds, played in 15 games as a defensive specialist with the Conquest last season and finished third in af2 with 33 passes defended. He tied for the Conquest lead with four interceptions and was second with 66 tackles. The Hampton alum was named the ADT Defensive Player of the Game in five of the team's 16 games. Coleman, who played in seven games for the Chicago Bears in 2002, also spent time in training camps with the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts prior to the 2003 NFL season.

Herron, 6-4, 295-pounds, played in 15 games during the 2004 season and led all Conquest lineman with 25 tackles. He also recorded four sacks and two rushing touchdowns. At Appalachian State, Herron participated in the NCAA Division I-AA playoffs in each of his class years. After beginning his collegiate career as a defensive tackle, he converted to center his senior season starting all 12 games leading Appalachian State with 819 offensive snaps.

Cirrincione, 5-11, 200-pounds, whose family owns Paesan's Pizzeria, is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., but now resides in Albany, N.Y. Kicked in 13 games for the Conquest last season, Cirrincione ranked 6th in the league in PAT attempts converting 55-of-71 and also kicked nine field goals (9th in af2). His 56-yard field goal on June 6 against Cape Fear was the longest in franchise history. He worked out with the Buffalo Bill on January 11 connecting on 11-of-12 field goal attempts with a long of 53-yards.

In addition, Steve Cully, a lineman who played in six games with the Conquest during the 2004 season was recently placed on other league exempt and has been allocated to NFL Europe. The two-year af2 veteran also went to training camp with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2004.
