
Forehan-Kelly Leads D-Fenders Past The Flash

Los Angeles, CA- The Los Angeles D-Fenders (16-27) grabbed a late-night win over the Utah Flash (23-21), Sunday night at STAPLES Center. Ryan Forehan-Kelly notched a season high 34 points, leading the D-Fenders to a 106-86 victory.
The D-Fenders came out strong in the first quarter outscoring the Flash 36-21. James Peters and Dar Tucker chipped in eight points apiece for the D-Fenders. Utah's Orien Greene led his team with eight points. The D-Fenders had no turnovers at the end of the first quarter.
Utah was able to outscore Los Angeles in the second quarter (21-20) but the D-Fenders finished the first half with a 56-42 advantage.
Forehan-Kelly scored nine points in the third quarter, helping the D-Fenders maintain their lead at the close of the quarter, 79-64. Carlos Wheeler grabbed eight points in the third, keeping the Flash in the game. The D-Fenders outscored their opponent 23-22 at the close of the quarter.
Utah's Bennet Davis, Brian Hamilton and Orien Greene scored six points apiece in the final quarter, but the D-Fenders outscored their opponent 27-22. Los Angeles sustained the lead from start to finish, with their biggest advantage being as many as 25 points in the fourth quarter.
Along with Forehan-Kelly's 34 points, James Peters tallied 16 points for the D-Fenders and Tucker added 12 of his own. Greene led the Flash with 25 points, while teammate Davis posted 20 points.
