Georgia and Philadelphia will compete against each other for the second time this season, with the Force taking the first match-up 57-49 in Philadelphia. The Force are making their third consecutive playoff apperance and the fourth in franchise history. Under the leadership of Doug Plank, Georgia has posted a 3-2 record in postseason games including a berth in ArenaBowl XIX in 2005.

>>FORCE HOST DIVISIONAL ROUND PLAYOFF GAME ON SUNDAY, JULY 8
The Force will host their Divisional Round playoff game at Philips Arena on Sunday, July 8 at 7 p.m., on ESPN2. The 2007 Southern Division Champion Georgia Force will return to the playoffs for the third consecutive season and will host at least one playoff game at Philips Arena. Since 2005, the Force has been one of the AFL's best at defending their home turf. Georgia has posted a 21-4 (.840) record at Philips Arena including two playoff wins in 2005 and a 7-0 record this year. Force single-game and group playoff tickets are currently on sale. The Arena Football League has announced that QB Chris Greisen and WR Chris Jackson have been named to the All-Arena first team. In addition, WR Troy Bergeron, OL Marcus Keys, LB Umar Muhammad and DL Jermaine Smith earned All-Arena second team honors. Georgia's six players were the second highest total in the League and mark a franchise-high.

The Georgia Force's own Nicole will have an opportunity to cheer before thousands during Arena Bowl XXI New Orleans Weekend. She will join 18 representatives from other Arena Football League clubs as part of the Aaron's AFL Dream Team. This team comprises the best of the best from cheerleaders with each AFL club. Beginning in March, fans were given the opportunity to vote on arenafootball.com to select the Aaron's Dream Team representatives.

The Georgia Force defeated the New Orleans VooDoo, 68-42, in front of 11,123 fans at Philips Arena. During the contest the Force set numerous AFL single-season records including, points scored in a season (1,007), yards in a season (5,175) while becoming the first team to score 60+ points in 10 games. The victory also allowed Georgia to be the first team to finish with a perfect 8-0 record against Southern Division opponents.
