
Force set for fist home back-to-back series

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Cleveland Force will play two Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) games this weekend when the team hosts to Central Division St. Louis Steamers in the first game and then the Eastern Division Philadelphia KiXX in the second game. The Force and Steamers will face off on Friday, January 30 at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. Cleveland and the KiXX will battle on Saturday, January 31 at the Convo.
The Force comes into the weekend with a record of 6-12 overall, 3-4 versus Central Division opponents and 0-5 versus Eastern Division opponents. Cleveland dropped two games last weekend to the Milwaukee Wave by final scores of 5-4 and 6-2 respectively. The Force currently is in third place in the Eastern Division 4.5 games behind the Philadelphia KiXX for second and 8.0 games behind the Blast for first.
St. Louis enters the game with a record of 5-13 overall, and 2-5 versus Eastern Division opponents. The Steamers fell to the Kansas City Comets 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night. St. Louis currently sits in third place in the Central Division 1.5 games behind the Kansas City Comets for second and 9.5 games behind the Wave for first
Philadelphia comes into the week with a record of 11-8 overall and will face the Monterrey Fury on Thursday night in Monterrey, Mexico.
Cleveland is lead by forwards Lee Edgerton, Zoran Karic and Hector Marinaro with 19 points apiece. Edgerton has recorded 14 goals and added five assists, Karic has tallied five goals and added 14 assists and Marinaro has notched 11 goals and added eight assists this season.
Former Force forward Steve Butcher with 30 points paces St. Louis. Butcher has recorded 18 goals and 12 assists in his first season with the Steamers.
Philadelphia is led by former Crunch midfielder Goran Vasic with a total of 32 points. Vasic has netted nine goals and 23 assists for a total of 32 points.
