Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO â The Cleveland Force and Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo announced today that local artist George Vlosich III has been selected to develop the team's "millennium" logo design. Vlosich has been given the opportunity to once again showcase his artistic talents to the Cleveland market. In February of this year, George designed the Limited Edition MISL All-Star Weekend Lithograph celebrating the MISL All-Star Game festivities hosted in Cleveland, Ohio. This fall, the Cleveland Force will showcase his work with re-designed Cleveland Force logo artwork on the team's road uniforms as well as selected team merchandise and apparel.
George Vlosich III graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Ohio in1997. His fame began at the age of nine during a family trip to Washington, D.C. George brought along an Etch-A-Sketch for the ride to pass time and as a result created a masterpiece of the Nation's Capital. Many athletes refer to George as the "Etch-A-Sketch Kid", because after a game he would wait for them to autograph their pictures. Today, George has earned an international reputation for his exquisitely detailed portraits of athletes and other well-known figures. George has met with former President Clinton and former Vice-President Gore.
Vlosich has made numerous television appearances including most recently when he appeared on The Best Damn Sports Show Period in July of 2002. He has also appeared on BBC, CNN, Nickelodeon, CBS, ABC World News Tonight, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, PBS, Fox Philadelphia, 20/20 with Barbara Walters, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, NBA Inside Stuff with Amahad Rashad and NBC Game of the Week with Michael Jordan.
George has also been featured in a number of publications including: Sports Illustrated, People Magazine, Sports Collectors Digest, USA Today, Nickelodeon Magazine, Cleveland Magazine, Time for Kids and Cooperstown News
Vlosich is a recent graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art where he followed a classical visual arts curriculum. Despite his busy lifestyle George still maintains enough time to run his own business, "Etched in Time." Through "Etched in Time," George can sell limited edition lithographs of some of the most admired Etch-A-Sketch works he has created.
