Force prepares for season with opening of training camp

CLEVELAND, OHIO - Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo today announced that team opened training camp on Monday, September 27. The Force will train daily at the Force Fitness Institute located in Warrensville Heights.

Cleveland will play three exhibitions games on the road in preparation for the 2004-05 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season. The first pre-season test will come on Friday, October 1, as the Force will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Excite of the American Indoor Soccer League. Cleveland then will travel to the Chicago, Illinois to take on the expansion Chicago Storm and the Central Division Champion Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, October 9.

Force newcomers Robbie Aristodemo, Gary DePalma and Sipho Sibiya are all in camp to train with their new teammates for the first time while defender Rene Rivas will report at a later time.

Head Coach Omid Namazi welcomed back Cleveland veterans and reserve squad members Joel Bailey, John Ball, Adam Campellone, Denny Ciornei, Fred DeGand, Chris Dore, Ryan Hall, Jim Larkin, Otto Orf, Myles Stoddard, Antonio Sutton and Josh Timbers.

The Force will hold two training sessions a day that are open to the general public, and to all members of the media, with player availability immediately following the conclusion of the practice. The two practice sessions will run from 10:00 until 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. each day. All practice times are subject to change.

The Force will open their 40-game schedule on Saturday, October 23 at Convocation Center at Cleveland State University when they will take on Eastern Division rival Philadelphia KiXX at 7:05 p.m.
