
Force postpone home opener due to severe weather

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA, January 29, 2005 â Due to the severe weather conditions affecting Atlanta and its surrounding areas, the Georgia Force have postponed their home opener vs. New Orleans scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. at Philips Arena until tomorrow afternoon. The game has been re-scheduled for Sunday, January 30th, with kickoff at 3 p.m.
All tickets issued for tonight's game will be good for tomorrow's contest. In addition, fans that have purchased single game tickets for the opening game can be credited for a future Force game if unable to attend Sunday.

"In looking at the weather situation that has transpired over the last 24 hours plus with advice from both the Arena Football League and Philips Arena, we felt it was in the best interest and safety of our fans, players, coaches and staff, that we postponed the game until tomorrow afternoon," explained Force President Dick Sullivan. "The weather forecast for Sunday is expected to be greatly improved and we look forward to kicking off our season in high gear."
