Philadelphia Force News Release

The Force just returned to Allentown after spending the week in Akron to take on the Racers. Unfortunately, it was a tough weekend for the Force as they lost three of the four games in the series. However, the good news is the Force is still in first place in the NPF! The team is looking to rebound from these losses, and have a strong series against the Rockford Thunder. Of course, we would love for you all to come out and show your support!

Despite losing a few games, the Force has still been seeing a lot of solid performances from some key players. Kellie Wilkerson is still leading the team and NPF with her .489 batting average. She also leads the team in hits (27), RBI (17), on base percentage (.564), and slugging percentage (.766). The two other Force players batting above .300 are Sharonda McDonald (.333) and Chelsea Spencer (.323). On the mound, Megan Gibson has been the top performer for the Force. Gibson has won four games in four appearances and has only given up three runs in 30 innings pitched. She adds 27 strikeouts and an ERA of .70. Lately, Katie Burkhart has been seeing a lot of time in the circle. The rookie has and ERA of 1.48 and leads the team in strikeouts (55).
