Force midfielder has successful surgery

CLEVELAND, OHIO- Dr. David Stepnik of University Hospitals and Cleveland Force Trainer Aaron Galpert announced that midfielder Justin Evans underwent successful surgery to repair his broken nose today at University Hospitals.

Evans suffered the broken nose in the final regular season game at Philadelphia on April 3. Justin played the entire game on April 3 and put off the surgery in order to play in the MISL Quarterfinal game on Saturday night in Dallas where he wore a protective mask.

Evans, the Force Most Valuable Player, appeared in 35 of 36 games this season. Justin led the team in game-winning goals with four. He finished the season fifth on the team in scoring with 27 points. Evans recorded a career-high in goals (20) and blocks (30) and he added seven assists. Justin was named the Force Tops Sensational Player of the Game on three occasions during the season.

Evans will next begin his sixth season of outdoor soccer in the A-League when he will play for the Charleston Battery this summer. Justin will be joining the Battery for the second time in the past three seasons.
