Force Looking To Ride The Wave To Victory

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force will play host to the Milwaukee Wave this Saturday, January 18th in a Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) game at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game, which is Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio Night, is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.

Cleveland and Milwaukee will meet for the third time this season with the previous two meetings both being played at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. The Wave defeated the Force in the first meeting on November 3rd by a final score of 17-4. Cleveland then handed Milwaukee just its second loss at home this season on December 14th when the Force defeated the Wave 14-13.

Cleveland enters the game after posting a 1-1 record last weekend by defeating the Harrisburg Heat at home on Friday night but then fell to the Kansas City Comets on Saturday night in Kansas City. The Force is currently in second place in the MISL Eastern Conference with a record of 10-9 overall and trails the Philadelphia KiXX by six games. Cleveland is 6-1 at home including a 2-1 mark versus Western Conference opponents.

Milwaukee enters the contest on a three game winning streak after posting victories over Kansas City on Friday and Harrisburg on Saturday. The Wave led the MISL Western Conference by 4.5 games with a record of 15-5. Milwaukee is 7-3 on the road this season and has posted a 5-3 record versus Eastern Conference foes.

In addition to the game, The Honorable Jane Campbell, Mayor of Cleveland, will deliver a pre-game address to participants in the Force's Girl Scout Game at 3:30 p.m.
