
Force hands out team awards at final home game

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force presented its season awards to five players at halftime of the final Force regular season home game on Sunday, March 28. Force Vice President and Assistant General Manager Eric Dietrich handed out the awards.
Forward Adauto Neto was selected as the University Hospital Rookie of the Year. Neto has appeared in 25 games this season and has tallied a team-high tying 22 goals and added nine assists for a total of 31 points. Adauto is currently tied for third on the team in scoring. Neto has also notched three game-winning goals and had seven blocks. In addition, he has been named the Tops Sensational Player of the Game on four occasions and the Zarzour Nissan Player of the Month on two occasions.

Defender/Forward Hector Marinaro earned the Ohio Lottery Unsung Hero award. Marinaro has appeared in 26 games and has recorded 21 goals and added 15 assists for a team-high tying 36 points. Hector leads the team in restart goals with nine and has added one game-winning goal. Marinaro has notched 42 blocks. In addition, he has been named the Tops Sensational Player of the Game on four occasions and the Zarzour Nissan Player of the Month once.
Defender Josh Timbers was named the Zarzour Nissan Defensive Player of the Year. Timbers has appeared in 33 games in his first season with the Force. Josh has notched four goals and three assists for a total of seven points. Timbers is second on the team with 46 blocks. In addition, he has been named the MISL Defensive Player of the Week once this season.
Forward Lee Edgerton was selected as the Holland Oil Offensive Player of the Year. Edgerton is currently tied for the team lead in scoring with 36 points. Lee has appeared in all 34 games this season and has recorded a team-high tying 22 goals and added 12 assists. Edgerton has tallied two game-winning goals and one restart goal as well as 11 blocks. In addition, he has been named Tops Sensational Player of the Game on two occasions and Zarzour Nissan Player of the Month once.
Midfielder Justin Evans was selected as the Tops Most Valuable Player. Evans has led the team all season on and off the field. Justin has appeared in 33 games and has tallied career-high 19 goals and added seven assists for a total of 26 points. He has recorded a team-high four game-winning goals and has notched four restart goals and 28 blocks. In addition, he has been named the Tops Sensational Player of the Game on three occasions.
