Force Guarantee Top Performers from Open Tryout on December 1 an Opportunity at a Two-Day Workout

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Georgia Force today announced they will host their final open tryout of the offseason at their practice facilities in Flowery Branch on Saturday, December 1. The top performers (maximum of 15 participates) will be offered the opportunity to showcase their talents during a two-day workout in training camp.
Skill positions (quarterback, wide receiver and defensive back) will begin registration at 7:30 a.m. Offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers, fullbacks and kickers will register at 8:30 a.m. Georgia is looking to build its 2008 roster before training camp opens in February. Participants will partake in physical skills such as the 40-yard dash and the short shuttle drill. Players will be separated by positions and will work through drills specific for their positions.
DRILLS DURING TRYOUT
QB - Dropping back, passing and ball exchange drills
OL/DL, FB/LB - Pass-rush, pass-pro drills and one-on-one drills
WR/DB - Catching, route-running, coverage drills and one-on-one drills
K - Kickoffs, extra-point, 20 yards, 30 yards and 45-yard kicks
"We were pleased with the talent we saw during the first tryout in September and we are looking forward to evaluating the talent in this upcoming tryout," said director of football operations/offensive coordinator Jim Kubiak. "The state of Georgia is a hotbed of football talent, and we are confident that there will be a number of athletes in attendance on December 1 that we will be able to invite back for a better look during training camp. We are looking for players who can perform on the field of play, but the first step in the process is finding players that can pass the physical test at the open tryout."
