Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO- Doctors Goodfellow and Lacey of University Hospitals as well as Cleveland Force Trainer Aaron Galpert announced that goalkeeper Otto Orf underwent successful elbow and knee surgery today at University Hospitals.
The knee and elbow surgeries were performed due to pre-existing conditions that did not occur during the 2002-03 season.
Orf, an 18-year veteran of indoor soccer, was sidelined the first half of the 2002-03 season recovering from off season rotator cuff surgery. He suffered the injury on March 17, 2002 and missed the final eight games of the 2001-02 season. Orf returned to the active roster on January 30th and played in three games and recorded 25 saves.
Otto, who completed his 14th season with the Cleveland franchise, is the Force all-time leader in saves (6,006) wins (222) and minutes played (21,603).
