Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO – Force forward and Vermilion native Chris Dore had a big game for the Syracuse Salty this Saturday. The Salty Dogs led the A-League Eastern Division with a record of 3-0-1.
On Saturday, Syracuse played their home opener and defeated the expansion Puerto Rico Islanders by a final score of 4-1 at P& C Stadium. Dore led the scoring attack, as he was involved in all four goals as he notched two goals and two assists. "Everything was just going my way. They were leaving me unmarked a lot,” said Dore on his performance.
Chris opened the scoring in the fourth minute when he found the back of the net for his first goal of the game and season. Dore followed up his first scoring opportunity just four minutes later as he notched his second goal of the game in the eight minute of action.
Chris rounded out the first half scoring when he picked up his first assist in the 20th minute of action.
In the second half, Syracuse did not find the back of the net until the 80th minute when Dore picked up his second assist of the game on a header by Machel Millwood.
The Salty Dogs will look to continue their winning ways this Friday, May 14 when they will play host to the Rochester Rhinos at P& C Stadium. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and will pit Force forward Adauto Neto and Scotty Schweitzer taking on their former clubs for the first time this season.
