
Force Falls To Wave For Second Home Loss

CLEVELAND, OHIO â The Cleveland Force returned to the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University tonight and played host to the Milwaukee Wave. The Force was defeated by the Wave, 13-4, in a Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) game.
With the loss, Cleveland fell to 10-10 overall, 6-5 versus Western Conference opponents and 6-2 at home. With the win, Milwaukee improved to 16-5 overall, 6-3 on the road and 2-1 in the season series.
The Wave opened the scoring (0-2) when Greg Howes scored a two-point power play goal off the pass from Todd Dusosky at 11:51 of the first quarter. The Force tied the game (2-2) when John Ball scored a two-point goal off the cross from Lee Edgerton at 14:37.
Milwaukee regained the lead (2-5) when Joe Reiniger scored a three-point goal off the assist from goalkeeper Victor Nogueira at 13:16 of the second quarter. The Wave added to their lead (2-7) when Howes scored his second goal of the first half off the pass from Johnny Torres at 14:54.
Milwaukee opened the second half scoring (2-9) when Pat White scored a two-point goal off the second assist of the game for Todd Dusosky just 23 seconds into the third period.
Cleveland cut into the lead (4-9) when Anthony Maher scored a two-point goal off the assist from Andrew Gregor at 8:37 of the final period. The Wave added to their lead (4-11) when Todd Dusosky scored a two-point goal against the sixth attacker off the pass from Troy Dusosky. Milwaukee scored a two-point goal (4-13) when Howes found the back of the net off the cross from Reiniger.
Cleveland will next play host to the defending MISL Champion Philadelphia KiXX on Friday, January 24th at the Convocation Center At Cleveland State University.
