Force Falls In Two Games

MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Cleveland Force played two games in the final day of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Easter Seals Pre-Season Classic against the Dallas Sidekicks and the host Milwaukee Wave. Cleveland fell to the Sidekicks by a final score of 3-1 in the first game. The Force then was defeated by the Wave 4-1 in their last game of the tournament.

Against Dallas, the Force opened the scoring (1-0) when Adauto Neto scored the goal off a pass from forward David Topolski. The Sidekicks tied the game (1-1) and scored the first goal of the tournament against Cleveland when Patrick Shamu found the back of the net off the cross from Kenny Bundy. Dallas took its first lead of the game in the second half (1-2) when Bundy scored the goal off the assist from Beau Brown. The Sidekicks added to its lead (1-3) when Brown found the back of the net off the pass from Shamu.

In the final game of the tournament for the Force, Milwaukee opened the scoring (0-1) when Angel Rivillo scored the goal off the pass from Boticah. The Wave added to their lead (0-2) when Kevin Burke took a shot and then followed with a header to the back of the net. Cleveland cut into the lead and ended the first half scoring (1-2) when forward Myles Stoddard scored the goal off the assist from defender Fred DeGand. Milwaukee responded (1-3) by scoring the first goal of the second half when Matthew Stewart found the back of the net. The Wave concluded the scoring (1-4) when Dan Madrigal scored an unassisted goal.

The Force will continue training camp next week with practice sessions scheduled for 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. everyday at the Force Fitness Institute. Cleveland will begin the regular season on Sunday, October 19 when it travels to Dallas, Texas to take on the Sidekicks at 7:05 p.m.
