
Force acquires two players in trade

CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo today announced that the team has traded the rights to forwards Joel Bailey and Sipho Sibiya to the Baltimore Blast in exchange for Cleveland native and midfielder Allen Eller and defender Neil Gilbert
"We are pleased to add two players of this caliber prior to our final playoff push. We wish Sipho and Joel good luck. They are great professionals," stated Garofolo.
Eller returns to Cleveland for his second stint with the franchise. The 28-year old graduate of Mentor High School has appeared in 27 games this season for the Blast and has tallied nine goals and seven assists. Allen was a member of both MISL Championship teams after being acquired by Baltimore in a trade with the Harrisburg Heat. In addition to the Blast and Heat, he has played two seasons with in Cleveland with the Crunch and one season with the Houston Hotshots of the World Indoor Soccer League (WISL).
Eller played collegiate soccer at the University of Akron and was a three-time Mid American Conference (MAC) selection.
Gilbert, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, will have his second go around with head coach Omid Namazi as he played for Omid in Philadelphia. Neil was a member of last year's MISL Championship team in Baltimore. He has appeared in 25 games this season for the Blast and has notched three goals and added four assists for seven points. Gilbert also tallied 32 blocks including his 300th career block on his fifth block of the season. Neil is in his 10th season of indoor soccer and will play for his ninth team when joining the Force.
Gilbert and his wife have two children and live in Detroit in the off-season.
Bailey was in his second season with the Force. Joel appeared in 40 games and notched 14 goals and added nine assists for 23 points. He also tallied 17 blocks in his two seasons.
Sibiya, who was acquired in the off-season in a trade with the Milwaukee Wave and St. Louis Steamers, appeared in all 30 games and recorded 13 goals and added 10 assists for 23 points.
