
Fog Devils win first preseason game

St. John's Fog Devils News Release
The St. John's Fog Devils played its first ever preseason game tonight and defeated the Halifax Mooseheads by 3-1 score at Cole Harbor Place in Cole Harbor, NS.
Goal scorers for the Fog Devils were Phillipe Cote, Ryan Smith and Nick Layton. Devin O'Brien stopped 18 of 19 shots he faced, while Ilia Ejov stopped all 6 shots he faced. The Fog Devils outshot the Mooseheads 45-25.
The club's next Preseason game is on Tuesday, August 23 when the club faces the PEI Rocket,
The Fog Devils play its first ever games on Newfoundland soil, August 27th and 28th against the Halifax Mooseheads at Mile One Stadium. Tickets for this game go on sale to the public on Monday, August 22 at the Mile One Stadium Box Office (starting at 10:00am).
The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its inaugural season in September and plays its Home Opener, September 23rd against the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
